Collaborative working
BASEflow is an NGO whose mission is to improve the sustainability of groundwater resources to rural populations so that they have access to safe drinking water. They are currently working on a Trocaire Irish Civil Society Programme project in Balaka, Chikwawa, and Machinga to support farming technologies that support rainwater harvesting for managed aquifer recharge. BASEflow and their partners have participated in a Deep Bed Farming training with Tiyeni. With ongoing support from Tiyeni, BASEflow are integrating Deep Bed Farming into their upcoming project planning across all three districts where they work. This integration will involve all of BASEflow’s partners, such as Circle for Integrated Community Development (CICOD), Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (CADECOM), and the Ministry of Agriculture, furthering the reach and impact of our work.
