Malawian farmers are proud of their Deep Bed Farming (DBF) crops (as well they should be!) which are thriving despite extreme weather last month. Watch this video to see the crop progress from one of our projects in February. It features with Isaac, Tiyeni Director in Malawi, shows the big difference our farming method makes. Same seeds, same planting dates, and weather, but look at the difference! On the right is an example of Deep Bed Farming. On the left is maize grown on conventional ridges.
