​Independent evaluations

​Emsizini hub: Maize yield and farmer income (2023)
​

An independent evaluation conducted by Kabash Consultants details impressive results and benefits gained for farmers using Deep Bed Farming across Tiyeni’s Emsizini hub between 2021 to 2023. Results demonstrated the project’s success in achieving its goals, with farmers achieving substantially increased crop yields (89%) and income (184%) after adopting Deep Bed Farming. Read more
Manyamula impact evaluation survey (2021)

An independent evaluation conducted by Kabash Consultants reports on the transformative impacts achieved by farmers using Deep Bed Farming in Manyamula, northern Malawi, between 2018 to 2021. Results pointed to marked improvements for smallholder farmers, with increases of around 100% to both crop yields and income​. Read more
