Making a big difference - crop comparisons

28 January 2022

The difference is obvious! On the right in the photo below is an example of Deep Bed Farming. In the leftmost photo below, Sedion stands between his Deep Bed grown maize on the right and conventionally-grown maize on the left. He is happy with the accelerating crop growth in his Deep Bed field compared to ridges, with just one day’s difference in planting dates. He is planning to extend his Deep Bed field this year. Sedion also hailed Deep Bed Farming’s success in preventing soil erosion compared to conventional ridges. Top soil has been washed away, as can be on the left side in the photo below.

In the rightmost photo below, you can view Charles in his field. Charles is also pleased with how his crops perform in Deep Beds (left side of photo) compared to conventional ridges (right side of photo). We have many examples of this big difference.

A youth farmer called Edward is reporting healthy and strong Deep Bed Farming crops, as you can see in the photos below. Look at the amount of water that has been caught in the photo to the right! Edward is growing a mixture of crops. He is in touch with our training team by email and WhatsApp and does a lot of Deep Bed Farming training online. Edwards says there is zero soil erosion. Many farmers that pass by stop to ask Edward how to follow in his success. He is successfully training some using our website.
