Erosion control near Nkhata Bay, Malawi

28 October 2021

Tiyeni's erosion control project was featured on MBC news in September 2021. This steep and remote area South west of Nkhata Bay has become a resounding example of the power of Deep Bed Farming. Contrary to initial fears that the farmed land was too steep, the enthusiastic farmer community has achieved really high yields.

With thanks to our volunteer, Alissa, for captioning the video.

The project is run by Tiyeni Field Officer, Hazel, who holds a BSc degree in Environmental Management and Diploma in Agriculture.
