The University of Livingstonia (UNILIA) is a Malawian university with over 2,000 students across its three campuses. Tiyeni’s Deep Bed Farming method for water and soil management is an integral part of one of UNILIA’s Agricultural Sciences courses. Tiyeni staff are working with the university to administer the course at their Kaning’ina campus. Tiyeni also engaged with UNILIA faculty member Professor Bernard Kamanga, a socio-economist, as part of our African Development Bank Group-funded project with Malawi’s Northern Region Water Board.
